What is oak timber flooring?
ImperialOak™ floorboards are coated with a protective layer of lacquer that protects the flooring from the harmful UV rays of the sun and comes with 25 Years Limited Residential Structural Warranty.
This floating flooring uses the Tongue and Groove Joint System. This flooring can be installed in an apartment when coupled with the appropriate acoustic underlay. (PVA Timber Adhesive will be required for installation.)
Engineered timber flooring elevates the strength and durability of traditional solid timber flooring. It offers certain advantages, including increased dimensional stability and improved resistance to moisture.
There is no substitute for a genuine oak flooring surface. You will be buying a desirable, exotic and limited edition flooring that will be the envy of others.
ImperialOak™ engineered range: Features and Benefits
Timeless appeal
Unlike carpets, linoleum or tile patterns, classic oak floors never go out of fashion. Timber floors add more warmth and elegance than solid ceramic or disguised concrete. Hardwood flooring is timeless and comes in various shades, finishes and grain characteristics to match your style.
Sturdy veneer and matte finish
ImperialOak™ engineered oak floating floors are built to last, thanks to the sturdy 3 mm to 4 mm veneer. Plus, their matte finish adds a touch of sophistication while concealing any minor scratches that may appear over time.
Hassle-free installation
Oak floating floors by ImperialOak™ are easy to install thanks to their innovative tongue and groove joint system. This innovative design fits planks together, allowing easy installation without complex tools or techniques. This enables you to achieve professional-grade results while saving time and lowering installation costs.
Hygienic, low-maintenance surface
An engineered wood floor is a hard surface, meaning it’s easier to clean and absorbs less dust than carpeted floors. They’re maintained using specialised cleaners, normally applied with water and a mop. Make sure to follow product labels carefully to avoid potential damage.
Engineered oak floors can easily be rejuvenated once they show signs of wear and tear. Sanding and sealing the wood can quickly restore it to its original, pristine condition.
Temperature and moisture resistant
Due to its composite core layers, ImperialOak™ engineered oak floors are less sensitive to temperature or moisture than solid wood floors. While warping may still occur if moisture issues are ignored, the presence of these core layers reduces the extent of swelling and shrinking.
ImperialOak™ engineered flooring composition
Experience the impeccable craftsmanship of ImperialOak™ engineered floors that blend functionality and aesthetics. Their carefully engineered multi-ply structure provides remarkable stability, while the tongue and groove joint system guarantees a seamless appearance almost indistinguishable from solid hardwood timber flooring.
Top layer
The top layer features 3 mm or 4 mm of solid oak veneer that allows for multiple light resandings. To achieve a solid plank look, this layer has either been stained, smoked, lacquered, brushed or distressed.
Middle layer
The middle layer consists of a 10 mm multiple plywood construction. It provides exceptional rigidity to the floorboard, reducing cupping and shrinkage.
Bottom layer
The bottom layer consists of a 2 mm plywood backing. It helps prevent the floorboard from bowing and blending.
